From its founding in 1913, Jewish Family Service has provided assistance and professional resources to members of Houston’s Jewish community. Through the years, as our community’s needs have grown, so have our program services and staff. With a focus on strengthening family life, laying the foundation for self-sufficiency and improving both the social and economic conditions of our clients, we serve Houston’s Jewish community as well as the larger community.
JFS will expand its existing facility with the new Joan and Stanford Alexander Family Building which will bring Celebration Company on site, as well as create much needed space for Senior Adult Services, Neighbors4Neighbors Network (a new JFS Program), Employment Services with a Career Resource Center, meeting space, and workshop rooms.
We invite you to be a part of building Light, Hope, and Help for the Future by dedicating:
• A mezuzah, which will be affixed to each office doorway, reminding us of our responsibility to care for each other and the vital work that takes place at JFS; and/or
• A personalized brick/paver, that will be located in JFS’ new Donor Plaza
Both the mezuzah and brick/paver can be purchased for yourself, friends, and/or family; or as a dedication for a special occasion, like an anniversary, birthday or in honor/memory of a loved one.
