The Gibbon Conservation Center was founded in 1976 in Santa Clarita, California, USA, by Alan Richard Mootnick. It is devoted exclusively to gibbons, an increasingly rare ape from Southeast Asia. We work to benefit the endangered gibbons through conservation, study, advancing care practices, and public education. The GCC currently houses 41 gibbons, representing 5 of the 17 living species.
Be a part of the Gibbon Conservation Center’s campaign to honor donors and beautify the patio around our gibbon family mural. Donations will be honored with a laser engraved brick that will endure for decades to come. Dedicate a brick in honor of a family member or friend. We have several options available including a limited number of bricks that will be centrally located within our GCC logo.
